Career Ownership Rocket Fuel

The Rocket Fuel Formula to YOUR Career 2.0®

TES Coach Goes the Distance to Fuel Career Ownership.

Vincent Guess, a Career Ownership Coach™ with The Entrepreneur’s Source®, employs his skills building solid relationships, knowledge of the corporate world and patience to help clients discover their purpose and reach a point of clarity about their future.

Guess spent the majority of his career moving up the corporate ladder at an insurance company in the Hartford, Connecticut area. Despite finding success at his corporate job, Guess was suffering from Battered Career Syndrome®, the feeling of being stuck in a job that doesn’t provide growth opportunities or security. He did not enjoy his position and was ready to make a change when his company gave him the option of a severance package. When he cashed in his chips and left the insurance world, Guess knew he wasn’t ready to retire. The Entrepreneur’s Source®, the nation’s leading Career Ownership Coaching™ franchise, gave him the opportunity to use his skills honed during his 43 years developing and training employees to help individuals find financial security.

“I didn’t want to sit on my front porch and watch cars go by. I wanted to contribute,” Guess said. “I wanted to make some additional income, but my main goal was to do something that I could feel good about at the end of the day. I like helping people. I’m here to try to be able to allow you to reevaluate where you’re at in your journey. I help people determine other options or discover their why.”

The Entrepreneur’s Source® helps individuals define and clarify the career results they want to achieve in their lives. The company has more than 35 years of experience providing personalized career ownership coaching for people looking to transition out of their current careers and find their path to self-sufficiency. Career Ownership Coaching™ helps them take charge of their future and discover the possibilities of financial security through entrepreneurship. Coaches help clients define their Income, Lifestyle, Wealth and Equity™ goals to determine if entrepreneurship is an option for their future. Entrepreneurship can help individuals improve their standard of living and create wealth. In addition to sparking innovation and improving local economies, entrepreneurs improve productivity, according to the Center for American Entrepreneurship, a nonpartisan advocacy organization.

Guess started his new career with The Entrepreneur’s Source® in 2018 and is willing to stay the course to help his clients find clarity. One of his clients, Paulo Ramirez, recently realized his path to entrepreneurship when he launched a construction cleaning business. Guess spent nearly a year helping Ramirez make the leap to becoming a business owner.

“All my life, I’ve been a salesman. I have a job with great perks but my life has been dedicated to my company,” Ramirez said. “Vincent helped me understand why I needed a transition. He was very professional and took the time to truly understand what I needed.”

Ramirez travels extensively as part of his sales job for an aftermarket auto company. He frequently makes international trips and was often away from home. After a divorce and the death of his beloved grandmother, Ramirez was ready to find a way to stop traveling and spend more time with his young son. He decided to tackle entrepreneurship with Izsam, a construction cleaning company. The company focuses on conducting final cleanups at new commercial construction to make the business ready for use.

“Izsam is a family company. Izsam was co-founded by a father and son team. They like to work with people who have that same background,” Ramirez added.

Despite being ready to make a change, Ramirez made the unique decision to keep his corporate job while getting his business off and running. He relies on his father to tackle the day-to-day operations at construction sites.

Guess started building a rapport with Ramirez by asking him to tell him the accomplishments in his life that made him the person he is today. “Asking these questions helps me build a relationship with my clients. They tell me little bits of information they’ve done in their career that helped shape them emotionally. It isn’t always business related. Most of the time, this turns into a long conversation that helps me understand the whole picture,” Guess said.
